Ground Motions - TCU089

The TCU089 record (N 23.904, E 120.856) was located 12.61 km from the Ji Lu (Figure 1) and at an approximate distance of 6.52 km from the Chi-Chi epicenter.

The corrected record rotated to the longitudinal direction of the Ji Lu showed a PGA of .19g.  The integrated velocity record had a peak ground velocity (PGV) of 12.5 in/sec (Figure 2).  The longitudinal velocity record shows a distinct sine pulse.

This corrected record rotated to the transverse direction of the Ji Lu had a PGA of .37g and a PGV of 17 in/sec (Figure 3).
