Installation Notes
UCFyber_Install.exe is a self extracting installation file that will automatically install UCFyber on to your computer. Half way through the installation process, your computer may ask you to reboot. There are several core system files that will need to be updated. UCFyber was programmed using the latest versions of Microsoft's linked libraries so these newest versions need to be present on your machine. All the updated libraries are backward compatible and there has been no problem or conflict with other installed software.
If installing on a network, the dll's that need to be upgraded will likely be protected. So, to upgrade these files, and successfully install UCFyber, you must log on as an administrator.
UCFyber requires that the display color resolution be set better than 256 color mode (12, 16, or 24-Bit color) in order to work properly. These color settings can be changed in the Windows Control Panel Display section.
Errors have been reported in the material models when the user has the regional number setting for the decimal symbol to "," instead of ".". This can be changed in the Windows/Control Panel under Regional Settings.
After installation, there is a 'Where to Begin' section on the Help menu to help guild the first time user. There are also detailed Examples available on the web
As bugs are fixed and features are added, newer versions of UCFyber will be posted on the World Wide Web as Product Updates.
